MS Data Analytics, BA English: Telling stories with data that anybody can understand.

A multi-vendor certified software development engineer at MetLife that's particularly interested in cybersecurity, machine learning, and natural language processing.

Professionally, I am currently developing data streaming solutions for real-time dashboarding of cloud resource metrics while rapidly prototyping IaC solutions involving Terraform, AKS, and Docker.

Casually, I am currently reviewing Japanese in order to take the JLPT N3 exam, while also experimenting with deep learning-based natural language processing and genetic algorithms.

Software Development Engineer II

MetLife

As a member of MetLife's Cloud Enablement Team, designed, developed, and documented cloud-based software solutions for developers and administrators alike across the corporation in a Scaled Agile environment. Interfacing with cross-functional teams, helped manage AKS clusters, Docker swarms, IaC, and existing legacy codebases and architecture while rapidly prototyping new solutions.

  • Presented findings and performed live demonstrations of solutions to stakeholders that included CIOs and VPs of continental regions.
  • Participated in prototyping IaC solutions, including a pilot of Hashicorp's Terraform. Developed modules for Terraform Cloud to create and manage Azure Cache for Redis instances according to corporate security policy with Azure solutions like Event Hub, Log Analytics, and Private Link.
  • Oversaw the migration of the Cloud Enablement Team's documentation system from Confluence to a managed Scaled Agile-based Azure DevOps project using Azure Boards and code repository-based Wikis.
  • Designed and engineered master and regional dashboards to monitor AKS and Docker deployment utilization across the global corporation with the particular focus of minimizing costs by utilizing Azure-native solutions like AKS Container Insights, Azure Metrics, Azure Log Analytics, KQL, and Python.
